Grilled Lemon Grass Pork Ribs (Sach Chrok Prolak Kroeung)

    At my village, every one has at least one or two lemon grass plants in the yard, lemon grass grows all year round. Lemon grass is very popular in Khmer cooking, and many believe it has great remedies for headache, indigestion and muscle spasms. You can find lemon grass at most Asian stores, and now you can get fresh frozen minced lemon grass.
    Mouth watering pork ribs with spicy lemon grass seasoning, grilled on low heat till golden brown is one of Khmer Krom favorite foods.

  • Ingredients :
    • 2-3 lbs Pork ribs, cut to separated each ribs
    • ½ Cup water
    • 3 Tablespoons soy sauce
    • 1 Tablespoon fish sauce
    • ½ Teaspoon salt
    • 1 Teaspoon sugar
    • 3 Cloves garlic, minced
    • 2 Stalk green onion, minced
    • ½ Cup minced lemon grass
    • ¼ Teaspoon black pepper
    • ½ Teaspoon minced hot chili pepper or ½ teaspoon paprika(option)
  • Procedures :
    Put pork ribs in a large container or bowl, set a side.
    In a small bowl, mix water with soy sauce, fish sauce, salt, sugar, garlic, onion, lemon grass, black pepper and chili pepper together, mix well.
    Pour prepared sauce on pork ribs, rubs sauce on both side each rib, covered container with lid and refrigerated it over night or at least 4 hours.
    Cook marinated pork ribs on grill with low temperature till meat tender and golden brown.
    Serve hot with white rice.
