Wilshere: Arsenal inspired midfield made it easy for England

Jack Wilshere has hailed Fabio Capello’s new formation as England ran out comfortable 2-0 winners at the Millennium Stadium.

The Arsenal
star likened the Italian’s new system to the one in which he plays at
the Emirates with one holding midfielder and two attacking playmakers.

And he believes the freedom created by Scott Parker’s involvement enabled himself and Frank Lampard to make and impact further up the pitch.

Wilshere said: “I think it worked well, we play it at Arsenal and I
think it works better with one holding and two going forward. It gave
me and Frank the license to get a bit more forward.

“Scotty was great and so was Frank, it made it easy for me to
play,” cooed Wilshere: “Scott is in the form of his life for his club
and he’s brought it into international football, you have to thank him
for a performance like today and Frank is always great for England and
they were brilliant again today.”
