BANGKOK Feb 8 (Reuters) – These are some of the leading

Thailand has countered a diplomatic initiative by Cambodia
by sending a protest note to the United Nations Security Council
accusing Phnom Penh of provoking the border conflict that led to
clashes between their troops over the past four days.

The 11th-century Preah Vihear temple has been damaged in
fighting between Thailand and Cambodia after Cambodian troops
used the temple as a military base to fire on Thai soldiers,
says army spokesman Sansern Kaewkamnerd.

Triple T Broadband is considering taking legal action
against TT&T , demanding compensation after a number of
its customers complained their broadband connection had been
terminated without notice.



The border between Thailand and Cambodia was far from calm
yesterday as Phnom Penh began to internationalise the boundary
conflict, asking the United Nations to send peacekeeping forces
to contain the violence near Preah Vihear temple.
Thai-Cambodian trade has tumbled significantly over the past
few years as diplomatic ties between the two countries have
become increasingly strained.
