In Cambodia, you show, we tell, you go to jail – Flashing is strictly prohibited

Show your private part and you will be jailed

The new criminal code contains an
interesting section (Section 3) stipulating about rape. One article in
this section (Article 248) discussed about someone showing his/her
private part. This article clearly stipulates that anyone showing
his/her private part that someone else can see it, will be sentenced to
6 days to 3 months of jail term, and fined between 100,000 to 500,000
riels ($25 to $125). This law will be in use in the city in the Phnom
Penh starting 11 Dec 2010. This means that those who like to pee or
defecate outdoor, in public places, near lamp posts, near bushes along
fences etc… will have to face this law. Furthermore, those who like to
show off themselves to let others see their private part intentionally
or unintentionally, and when they are caught doing so, they will also
face this article of the law.
